Austrian Technology Manufacturer Increases Operational Transparency with Infor Performance Management

Infor today announced that Fronius International GmbH, headquartered in Wels, Austria, has selected the latest version of Infor’s comprehensive suite of Performance Management (PM) solutions, Infor PM 10. Fronius, a leading manufacturer and distributor of battery charging systems, welding technology and solar electronics, use Infor PM 10 to increase operational transparency and prepare forward-looking analyses, key initiatives that support its international expansion plans. In a first step, Fronius will roll out Infor PM 10 to about 300 cost center managers in Austria, providing them with online access to finance, controlling, reporting, statistics, production, and calculation data consolidated in Infor PM 10. In the second phase of the project, reporting capabilities will also be available to production and calculation analysis.
“If you plan to expand internationally, you have to carefully allocate resources. Previously, our enterprise software deployment was focused on generating and displaying data. Previously, Fronius relied on its trusted ERP solution, Infor ERP Baan, for the entire controlling process. As the internationalization of the company progressed, at the rate of two new subsidiaries each year, their needs grew more complex. To optimize analysis and reporting, Fronius chose to extend their ERP solution through integration with Infor PM 10 to maintain a low total cost of ownership.
Infor PM 10 was chosen for its ease of use and comprehensive analysis and reporting capabilities, such as role-based dashboards that allow departments to individually customize operational insights. This capability will enable Fronius to eliminate the need for help from experts each time changes are needed, which also results in a lower total cost of ownership.
