DEACOM Course Unlocks Financial Reporting for Manufacturers

DEACOM Course Unlocks Financial Reporting for Manufacturers

Deacom, Inc. | 16 Aug 2008

Deacom, Inc., the producer of the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System, today announces the successful completion of its first Deacom University course, DEACOM® Financial Statements.

During the two-day course, DEACOM users from the batch process and building component manufacturing industries learned how to create and run user-definable financial statements, including balance statements, income statements, and cash flow statements for corporate and divisional reporting. After learning system concepts from a Deacom instructor on day one, participants spent the second day applying those lessons to their company's financial data via remote connectivity to their DEACOM System. The application structure of the DEACOM® Financial Statements course allowed attendees to make strides in the financial management of their businesses.

"We did such a fast implementation of DEACOM, seven weeks, that we had to hit the high points to get going and didn't get to financial statements," says Rob Raeke, controller of Sheridan, AR-based American Inks and Coatings. "After two days at Deacom University, I'm going home with completed financial statements and a better understanding of the system's functionality."

Rob Williams, president and CEO of Best Bilt Systems, Inc. of Byhalia, MS, says he came to Deacom University because he needed to move additional financial information into DEACOM. "Now I expect to have it done this week," says Williams, who also plans to attend the DEACOM® Material Requirements Planning (MRP) course in September.

Deacom University courses are held monthly at Deacom's headquarters in Wayne, PA, providing attendees with conceptual and practical knowledge in specific DEACOM functionality. Participants can earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
