About Featured Companies
SLCN.TV: SLCN.TV is virtual television for virtual worlds. Founded in March 2007 by Gary Wisniewski, SLCN.TV has become the virtual entertainment conduit of Second Life programming with an ever-growing viewership approaching 150,000 per month. SLCN.TV CEO Gary Wisniewski says “By any reasonable form of measurement, SLCN reaches more Second Life video viewers than any other single video medium, and we're growing quite rapidly.” He is also quick to add that, “None of this would be possible without the unbelievable efforts of those who produce our shows.” The network broadcasts about 14 live shows per week that fill the Sunday and Monday lineups, with more on the way. Additionally, there are 7 dedicated TV Channels for topical shows about Business, Sports, Lifestyle, Shopping, and more. One of the particularly interesting offerings of the business service is called the Virtual OB, a tool that allows the client to direct the shoot from a remote location using a private stream to show them the live multi-camera shots. The Virtual OB features are detailed on the SLCN Business website (www.slcn.biz) along with information about the studio facilities, pricing and technical information.
