The free website builder Webeden.co.uk, an online service where absolutely anyone can make their own website, today announced that packages would now include a free domain name.
Anyone subscribing to a Standard, Plus or Max website builder (http://www.webeden.co.uk) package now gets a free domain name to use with their website. Up to now subscribers of have had to make do with a a subdomain of webeden.co.uk. Now they can choose a domain name for their website. What’s more, every domain comes with free email services, so customers can send or receive email on that domain too.
The UK MD Ken Builder said today: “We’ve always loved our website building tool – of course we think it’s the best thing since sliced bread! But the feedback we’ve had from customers is that they wanted their websites to be on their own domain name, rather than a subdomain of webeden.co.uk. So we’re really happy to be able to launch this service to fill that need. And we’ve made it really easy for customers to point their domain name at their webeden.co.uk website. Customers don’t need to know any programming or be a computer a whizz, they just type in their website name and press ‘go’ and its all done for them. We’ve also given everyone free email to use with their domain name, so it all looks very professional”.
Aside from the free domain names included in the packages, customers can also buy additional domain names, to use for any purpose. To register a domain name separately customers just go to http://www.webeden.co.uk/domain-names.htm type the domain name into the box and press ‘next’. Domain names start at £8.99 for a .co.uk for two years. A .com, .net or .org costs £8.99 for one year.
